Lin Dan comes off the court, after winning a place in the Quarter Finals. He will go on to play Viktor Axelsen and win, and then lose to Shi Yuqi in the Semis.

Are you excited for the 2017 World Championships?
I haven’t been to Scotland for a long time, I believe the 2017 World Championships will be a success.

You last played in Scotland for Sudirman Cup in 2007, what are your memories of Glasgow and Scotland?
I have only been to Glasgow once but in my memory Scotland is a beautiful country. Obviously after many years of not visiting, if I can go then I hope I will do well.

Who are your main rivals this year?
[laughs] All of them are my main rivals!
